Abstract

As the world progresses towards advanced, easy-to-use and IoT-based devices, people choose to upgrade to smarter homes at affordable costs. Our Advanced Home Automation System is a step towards that goal. It tackles with the problem of handling home appliances from a distance and looking after the security of the home. This also includes automation of mechanical systems like doors. Our unit consists of a NodeMCU which acts as the brain of the unit. On receiving commands from a controlling server, it sends a digital signal to the various appliances connected with it. The mechanical appliances are controlled by servo motors and the electronic appliances by high power switching relays.
