Basarab Nicolescu is an honorary theoretical physicist at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Paris. He is a Professor of the Babeş-Bolyai University in Romania and Extraordinary Professor of Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He is a member of the Romanian Academy and President and Founder of the International Center for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies (CIRET).
