What models for thinking about the relationship between relativity theory and the passage of time are currently available? This chapter discusses and assesses three families of models featuring in contemporary literature: cosmic A-theory, according to which there is an absolute passage of time despite relativity theory; the block universe, where there is no ontologically robust notion of such passage in spacetime; and work pointing towards a third way enabling passage in a world which lacks a global past-present-future distinction.
