Abstract

Measuring the phenomena defining a crisis-stream is a first objective for this chapter. Next, use of wave theory helps describe two important features associated with these phenomena: the manner in which they move through an organization, and the range and types of effects spawned by them. These are two important themes seldom covered in books devoted to crisis management. Also covered in this chapter is the important role of spin-off mutations associated with the phenom-stream.
