Comparison of Geotechnical Characterization and Resistance Parameters Obtained from CPT Test and Conventional Laboratories in Fluvial – Lacustrine Soils
This paper shows the analysis of geotechnical information from recent updates of the interpretation of correlated variables from static piezocone penetration test (CPTU), and the validation of geotechnical characterization and resistance parameters by means of conventional laboratory test and MASW alignment techniques, checked within a framework of geological conditions studied from the execution of the project in a stratigraphy of silty and sandy clays of a lacustrine fluvial formation.
The obtained information will be analyzed though CPT test correlations, such as cone resistance (qt), friction ratio (fr) and pore pressuring during cone penetration (Um), in order to generate a stratigraphic geotechnical characterization (identifying the type of soil from Robertson identification charts, 2009) and resistance parameters (provided as peak friction angle, soil sensibility, over consolidation ratios and undrained shear strength) from the identification of soil type in situ. The results will be verified with laboratory test with the aim of generate complete view of the studied soil, and in this way to obtain the characterization and resistance parameters from alternative methods for finite element modeling with less uncertainly of behavior from imposition of constructive loads. The study includes the analysis pf three CPT test performed ad 20 m depth or reject, defined from the stratigraphy previously found in the place.
