Abstract

Perennial wetland herb with fleshy rhizome. Stem erect to ascendent, glabrous, 35–100 cm high. Basal leaves with cordate bases, stem leaves petiolate, triangular and pointed. Inflorescence is a terminal dense spike of pink flowers, 4–5 mm across. Fruit is a shiny brown achene.
