Radical Recordkeeping: How Community Archives Are Changing How We Think About Records

This chapter concerns the extensive expansion of the community archives movement over the past few decades, analyzing the ways in which diverse groups of people across the world have come to recognize the task of documenting themselves as a route to collective identification. Noting that community archives are often associated with social activism, Bastian argues that this growing phenomenon is changing how we understand records and recordkeeping.
