Abstract

Analog SDTV (Standard Definition Television) video signals have a bandwidth of about 4.2 MHz to 6 MHz and are transferred over 75-Ohm coaxial cables. In the professional era and the more sophisticated consumer electronics segment, these are usually green-jacketed cables equipped with BNC plugs. When terminated with exactly 75 Ohms, the analog video signals have an amplitude of 1 Vpp. Analog video signals are encountered in various formats.
