This chapter, DC Circuits, deals with loop and nodal analysis of resistive circuits with DC sources. The setting up of the equilibrium equations and solving them is presented in proper steps so that the students can learn this all-important step clearly with ease. The basic theory is presented clearly and concisely in the text. Supplementary pro- grams for verifying the analytically obtained results by coding and simulation are available. Along with these things, a coordinated laboratory class will consolidate students’ learning of the essential aspects of the circuit theory. Star-delta transformation, Thévenin’s and Norton’s theorems, maximum power transfer theorem, and source transformation are the additional topics covered.
