Multi-cloud System for Content Sharing Using RAID-Like Fragmentation

This paper proposes a multi-cloud content sharing system using a RAID-like storage and a redundancy avoidance technique aiming at high speed data transmission and capacity efficiency. The proposed method reduces files’ upload and download times by not only using replications of fragmented files but also using RAID-like file fragmentation and parity files. The effectiveness of the proposal is evaluated by actual experiments over the Internet.
