Multiple clinical trials have demonstrated that intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) treatment reduces progression in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) (Ajili et al. in Ultrastruct Pathol 36(5):320–324, 2012). However, patterns of administration vary. A focus group of specialized urologic oncologists (urologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists) reviewed the current guidelines and clinical evidence, discussed their experiences and formed a consensus regarding the optimal use of BCG (Ajili et al. in Ultrastruct Pathol 36(5):320–324, 2012). This chapter covers patterns of administration
