On a Dry Spinning Model Using Two-Phase Flow
On the basis of a mixture model ansatz we propose a three-dimensional two-phase flow fiber model for dry spinning processes, which are characterized by solvent evaporation and fiber-air interaction. Employing dimensional reduction this model is embedded into an efficient numerical framework, such that simulations of industrial spinning setups become feasible.
