  • If donor-specific antibodies are present in the hematopoietic cell transplantation recipient and directed towards the mismatched type in the donor, then resistance to engraftment may occur

  • The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) requires the patient receiving matched-unrelated donor (MUD) transplantation to undergo HLA typing with two separate specimens
