Abstract
This chapter will focus on the use of ultrasound as a clinical tool for the paediatric rheumatologist. The benefits and challenges of paediatric joint ultrasound as a diagnostic technique used in the clinic setting will be explored. Current and future research in this area will be outlined, and some guidance around training and procurement of scanners based upon personal experience will be touched upon.
