Abstract

Hirschsprung’s disease is a congenital anomaly that usually presents within the first few months of life. On rare instances, it may be subtle with chronic symptoms and thus present in late adolescence or adulthood. Fortunately, these involve only shorter segments of large bowel. However, as the diagnosis is often missed or not thought of, the patient may present with complications like intestinal obstruction. The histopathology clinches the diagnosis. A pull-through is required to curtail the symptoms and cure the disease.
