The Scope of DER and Investment Costs

Abstract

As stated in Sect.  1.2 DER is usually conducted as a part of the major renovation project. Most major renovation projects include a scope of work, which can be either non-energy-related or energy-related. A non-energy-related scope of work may include elements such as different construction jobs related to changing floor layouts (e.g., moving/removing internal partitions), adding bathrooms, removing asbestos, and adding sprinkler system.
