Nanotechnological Regulations in Brazil

Abstract

A new technological movement is being followed in current society, in which nanotechnologies are associated with innovation in form of products, proving the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution. They are innovative products, with potential for effects and bringing both beneficial effects as well as the risk attached to uncertainties. In this context, it is necessary to discuss nanotechnologies, especially in the Brazilian scenario, in order to encourage the creation of new legal alternatives for these new demands. There are new rights, new complexities measured from the nanos. The present chapter discusses the regulatory situation of nanotechnology in Brazil, and also throws light on Principles listed in Nanoaction.
