A PMOGA-Based Approach for Efficient Spectrum Utilization in Cognitive Radio
In this paper, we discuss a parallel multi-objective genetic algorithm (PMOGA)-based approach for efficient spectrum utilization in cognitive radio (CR). It addresses multiple objective issues in spectrum utilization like minimization of bit error rate and interference with maximization of throughput by considering the constraints like maximum value of interference level on primary user and maximum value of BER of the secondary user. The rest of the paper is organized as follows: Sect. 5.2 presents application of multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) in spectrum utilization. PMOGA-based spectrum utilization technique is proposed and discussed in Sect. 5.3. Experimental analysis and summary are given in Sects. 5.4 and 5.5, respectively.
