More on the Schrödinger Equation
For our considerations it is the basic differential equation of quantum mechanics. In view of of its central role, we want to examine in the following which properties the SEq has and which consequences follofrom those properties. By separating out the time, one can obtain from (3.1) the stationary Schrödinger equation (also known as the time-independent Schrödinger equation), which for us is the workhorse of quantum mechanics. Finally, we make a few preliminary comments on operators, which in quantum mechanics are identified with measurable quantities.
