L’évolution des techniques de cathétérisme interventionnel a autorisé un élargissement des indications d’embolisation dans le territoire de l’artère splénique. Si leur place exacte en hématologie n’est pas encore stabilisée, leur contribution est précieuse, en urgence comme pour des gestes réglés, pour le traitement de sujets fragiles affectés de pseudo-anévrismes ou présentant un hypersplénisme, pour le traitement des anévrismes artériels spléniques, et en traumatologie.
