Data Acquisition
Chapter
Abstract
The first step in our pattern classification model design process is presented – data acquisition. We will first introduce the robotic thermal imaging system, consisting of the hardware and software used to acquire thermal data. We will also discuss the methodology used to preprocess and collect our representative data set. The methodology used in our data acquisition is implemented prior to the feature generation step discussed in the next chapter.
