Homogeneous Fluids

By definition, all molecules of a homogeneous fluid are identical in the absence of phase coexistence, phase separation, or any other unusual behavior. However, molecular number density variations responsible for fluid density inhomogeneities are allowed. Thus, a homogeneous fluid is not necessarily a uniform-density fluid.
