By understanding the anatomy and utilizing a reproducible method composed of specific steps, you can minimize the inherent difficulty and potential pitfalls associated with this procedure. In this chapter, I will describe a technique of minimally invasive sigmoidectomy/left colectomy, highlight potential challenges you may encounter, and outline strategies to deal with them.
