Introduction to Liquid Templates
So far in this book I have discussed the out-of-the-box features of Dynamics 365 portals. These features are powerful, and you do not have to write a single line of code when using them. But there are scenarios where your clients or end users would like to make the portal’s look and feel more attractive and user-friendly to their portal audience. As you have seen in the previous chapters, the default look and feel is a basic Bootstrap template. In addition, sometimes you might want to present data based on some given logic that the out-of-the-box features do not support. But with Liquid templates, you can overcome these limitations and make the portal more appealing to end users. In this chapter, you will be learning about the basics of Liquid templates. This will give you an understanding of the capabilities of the language.
