Thermal Conductivity Studies and Free-Standing Liquid-Crystal Film Calorimetry as Two Applications of the AC Calorimetric Technique

Abstract

As extensions of the original ac calorimetric technique by Sullivan and Seidel, we have developed suitable experimental techniques and have successfully carried out thermal conductivity studies of bulk samples and heat-capacity measurements of free-standing liquid-crystal films.
