Heterospecific Analysis of Avian Neural Crest Migration and Differentiation
Chapter
Abstract
The vertebrate neural crest is an embryonic structure which gives rise to cells of the peripheral nervous system as well as many other cell types. Because of the diversity of derivatives and the extensive migratory ability of neural crest cells, this structure serves as an important model system for exploring questions of cell migration and differentiation.
