Atomic Masses — Comments on Macro-Micro Mass-Formulae

The research on atomic masses started from early accidental measurements and simple empiric rules. The next step was to aim at a systematic collection of the masses of all nuclei, stable against particle emission, and at semi-empiric models to guide the experiments with predictions.
