Flow Cytometry: A Tool in Studying Cellular Derangements
Chapter
Abstract
The flow cytometer enables several parameters to be measured on large numbers of individual cells; it yields information about cell populations. Using appropriate fluorescent probes, changes in a variety of parameters may be measured. It is also possible to separate cells on the basis of the measured parameters.
