Abstract
This article is mostly about high-energy nuclear scattering. It also tries to point out many common features of high-energy scattering processes which sometimes lie very far from nuclear physics, e.g., similarities between Delbriik scattering and hadron-deuteron scattering (see Section 4). This approach results in a very strong emphasis on generality of the problem and cuts down any careful analysis of more specific problems. This is so, because the author’s intention was to write a reasonably compact article, not a book. It is a high price to pay; the author is fully aware of that.
