Workflow Technology

Abstract

In this section we discuss issues related to correct and efficient execution of workflows. We will follow the nomenclature by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) as much as possible, in particular distinguishing between the workflow process definition (or specification) which describes the process to be executed, and workflow process instance which is the actual enactment (execution) of the processes.
