Abstract
Astronomical analysis can help to determine the dates of important historical events in ancient times and also help us to solve mysteries about more recent events for which the dates are known. Our Texas State group used calculations of tide levels, lunar phase, and the direction of moonlight to derive new results for the five examples described in this chapter.
