Abstract
The years 1963 to the present have been marked by a continuation of a variety of educational activities initiated earlier by the American Physiological Society (APS, the Society) (1), as well as by important ventures into entirely new educational realms. Throughout this period, the Education Committee has been the major focus of these activities, although two of the very important educational programs have been administered by the Publications Committee—the series known originally as Physiology for Physicians and the Handbook of Physiology series. Both are described elsewhere in this volume, as are the Porter Fellowship and Development Programs, with which the Education Committee was involved.
