Abstract
After anesthesia was delivered, the foot was placed in Lahey bag, and the leg was sterilely prepped and draped. It was exsanguinated by gravity and a pneumotourniquet was in fl ated at the level of the thigh for thirty minutes using 350 mmHg. A standard incision was made on the anterior aspect of the leg 15 cm below medial joint line, extended laterally and medially, and then posteriorly to fi nish the posterior fl ap. The subcutaneous tissue was cut to the level of the fascia, and then incised.
