Abstract
A major U.S. automobile manufacturer has installed numerous SI Cartrac systems in many of its assembly plants. These systems, ranging from simple buffer storage lines to complex robotic interface operations, have brought about significant improvements in production time, reductions in parts inventory, and increased operational efficiency. According to the company, the application has resulted in a greater consistency of product quality.
