The Microsurgical Laboratory

Abstract

Much has been written in the past decade about experimental techniques and the required instrumentation for a microsurgical laboratory.^1–8 The readers are referred to these useful references, some of which include extremely detailed descriptions of standard methods of practice.^1,4,7 Such an extensive “cookbook” approach will not be repeated and, indeed, would be redundant and repetitious. The basic essentials of a microsurgical laboratory are included here, however, for completeness.
