Abstract

Much has been written in the past decade about experimental techniques and the required instrumentation for a microsurgical laboratory.1–8 The readers are referred to these useful references, some of which include extremely detailed descriptions of standard methods of practice.1,4,7 Such an extensive “cookbook” approach will not be repeated and, indeed, would be redundant and repetitious. The basic essentials of a microsurgical laboratory are included here, however, for completeness.
