Abstract

Primary therapy of NPC is followed in 2/3 patients by local recurrence or metastasis within the first 3 years. Thus far, adjuvant chemotherapy has not offered significant improvement. IFN-treatment, therefore, has been discussed as an alternative drug for EBV-positive NPC (1). We investigated the influence of a2-IFN-therapy on lymphocyte populations in NPC patients2.
