Manifestations of Copper Deficiency in Dairy Cattle
Chapter
Abstract
Marginal copper deficiency in cattle is widespread and costly due to lack of recognition of the more subtle clinical symptoms. The result of this situation is decreased feed efficiency, decreased growth and production, increased disease incidence and quite possibly economic failure of the farm or ranch involved. The advent of intense management, improved genetics and greater production naturally increases mineral demands.
