Abstract

Few big cities are homogeneous. Nevertheless, the heterogeneity of big Latin American cities is so great that a study of dermatology in a city such as Caracas, Venezuela, provides a cosmic scope to the findings of such study. Other Latin American cities may show features similar to those of Caracas. In all, history is the clue to the present.
