High Temperature X-Ray Diffraction and Landau Theory Investigations of Thermal Symmetry-Breaking Transitions
The W Point of Fm3m and the Structure of NbN1-x
Chapter
Abstract
The Landau theory of symmetry and phase transitions is applied to the thermal symmetry-breaking transitions corresponding to the special point W in the case of the NaCl-type structure. The results are shown to include the ordered structure of defect niobium mono-nitride.
