Abstract

The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF), the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) published appropriate use criteria (AUC) for coronary revascularization (Fig. 6.1) to guide physicians in delivering high-quality care in patients with cardiovascular diseases. These guidelines are evidence based or are expert consensus opinion (when evidence is lacking that is approved by ACCF and the American Heart Association.
