Augmentation of the Nasal Pyramid: ‘Saddle-Shaped’ and Lateral Deformities

Loss of septal support can result in a saddle-shaped depression of the nasal dorsum, sometimes referred to as a ‘saddle-nose’ deformity. Loss of lateral projection of the nasal bones can also result in a localised depression in the upper half of the nose and the appearance of deviation. Assessment and management of these deformities are discussed.
