Abstract
This chapter discusses the key steps the team takes after implementation to ensure that the hospital is properly using their CPOE platform This includes the team’s rigorous attention to issues and their resolution. Then the team focuses on optimization of the CPOE project. Optimization allows the organization to address specific opportunities as they begin to realize true benefits for efficiency, effectiveness and patient safety as they focus on clinical, operational, and financial goals.
