CCD Imaging from the City

Abstract

I have been interested in Astronomy for twenty-five years and bought my first telescope as a teenager. After a few years of satisfying visual observing my career took me to London in 1978 where I have resided ever since. Because light pollution filters were not widely available and, because I lived in a succession of gardenless flats, my interest waned. In 1989 I invested in a then widely available light pollution filter and bought accessories necessary for astrophotography which rekindled my interest with some initial success.
