Introduction to JavaBeans

  • John Hunt
Part of the Essential Series book series (ES)

Abstract

This chapter sets the scene for the remainder of this book. It tries to demystify some of the terminology associated with JavaBeans as well as introduce the basic JavaBeans concepts. As such it is a (relatively) non-technical introduction to the subject matter of the rest of the book. You should not be fooled into thinking that JavaBeans is a complex or difficult subject — the majority of the complexity (at least for the basic use of JavaBeans) is primarily due to the terminology used. So don’t be put off and don’t be intimidated. Just have a go — you might be surprised how far you get and how quickly you get there!
