A New World Order in Eurasia? Ideology and Geopolitics

  • Graham E. Fuller

Abstract

The term ‘new world order’ has by now become almost a cliché. Yet it should not be viewed cynically, for we clearly have entered a vastly different world than the one we lived in a decade ago. This chapter addresses the place of Eurasia in the new world order and what it might look like. But first, is everything about the ‘new world order’ new? What elements of continuity do we have? A look at geopolitics, past and future, is the best link between the old era, today’s transitional era, and an uncertain tomorrow.
