Abstract

As soon as you get on friendly terms with a French person, you will find yourself wanting to express likes and dislikes. The unit approaches this topic in two ways: In Conversations 1 and 2, various people say what food and drink they like and dislike. Most of them use the verb aimer (to like/love) In Conversation 3, the participants talk about the towns and villages where they live or where they go on holiday. They express what they like or don’t like about them chiefly through the adjectives they use to describe them. The most commonly used one is agréable (nice, pleasant).
