Patterns in speech activities

Abstract

In our discussions so far frequent reference has been made to participants’ activities performed in the course of spoken verbal interaction. Some of these activities have to do with the management of the talk as talk being produced for verbal interaction. Others have to do with the very point of the interaction itself.
