Abstract

In preceding chapters the fundamentals of microcomputer-based instrumentation have been addressed. Many, but not all, of the illustrative example programs are particular to the BBC microcomputer using the 6502 microprocessor. While many of the principles covered (e.g. number systems, transducers, signal conditioning and interfacing) are machine independent, cognisance must properly be given to the recent ascendancy of the 16-bit microcomputer.
