People and Property in the Real World — Spatial Data Systems
Chapter
Abstract
The relative cost of acquiring appropriate data and information is modest compared with the costs associated with a retail locational or investment decision. A number of products and services are already available to assist in decision making. Data are not everything, and will not guarantee success. However, relevant data and suitable tools for their interpretation and use can gain time, greater efficiency, higher levels of accuracy and in addition assist in identifying market gaps and opportunities as is demonstrated in the next chapter.
