Abstract

Bankers Trust, a worldwide merchant bank, was established as a trust company in 1903. Besides multi-product investment management services, the company offers wholesale commercial banking, corporate finance, money and securities markets services, and a variety of fiduciary services to corporations, governments, financial institutions and high net-worth individuals. Bankers Trust Investment Management Ltd began to offer investment management services to UK funds in 1952, and in 1980 established a commingled active equity fund for US pension assets. Japan Bankers Trust was established in 1985 as a full service trust company and is the largest foreign-owned manager of Tokkin funds.
